This photo is my daughter Laura relaxing on a bridge crossing the Pemigewasset River in New Hampshire, waiting for me. This bridge is the end of the return trail from Owls Head, an 18 mile hike, fording four streams and climbing a slide to the top. For 50 years I had working to climb every peak over 4000 ft in NH (there are 48) and this was the last one. I had been fearing it for years, but it turned out to be fun, especially in the company of Laura, and my son Tim and daughter in law Kate Marcia Butman
