This bridge connects the office of my psychotherapy practice to the commercial streets of Georgetown, Washington, DC.  I have crossed it for over 35 years to walk through the historic neighborhoods, do an errand, or just get a cup of coffee.  The real journeys take place in my office as I travel on the emotionally and intellectually stimulating paths my patients take me on.  Each day I think how privileged I am to be so intimately involved in their lives.
